3d virtual world community
it's interesting, everybody left after the avatar update in 2016, and recently they've been tweeting about the game. So, I don't think the online game is shutting down yet, but rather, those four 3D Virtual World games are what are no longer supported now. If JumpStart were truly closing down the online game, I feel they would most certainly announce it on their social media accounts, it feels like they would be obligated to do that. If you look at the JumpStart Facebook account now, you can see posts about some recent seasonal changes taking place in the online game, and things that players can do.
On another note - JumpStart has social media accounts, on Facebook and Twitter and whatnot, and they make posts about updates to World of JumpStart there. That title was kept for those four games, however. Also, World of JumpStart hasn't been called "JumpStart 3D Virtual World" in quite some time. The message specifies "downloadable games" - games is plural, this doesn't seem to be referring to World of JumpStart. I believe this message is actually referring to the four games for preschool-2nd grade that were released as discs, and later as downloables on the JumpStart site, the JumpStart 3D Virtual World series. We have stopped supporting them as they were quite old." The message says, quoted, "Unfortunately, the JumpStart 3D Virtual World downloadable games have been discontinued and are no longer available.
I think the support message that appears in this thread isn't referring to the online game World of JumpStart. I just came across this thread, and I have some thoughts.
